Introducing the UX Working Group (UXWG)
But first, a brief message to the JUPDAO community…
Dear Cats & Catdets,
Maneek and I are excited to announce today our new JUPDAO working group: the UX Working Group—or ‘UXWG’ for short. This ‘emerging’ Working Group was devised prior to the grants program so if it seems a little out of sync with current protocol, that’s why.
First, we’d like to mention that we’ve been passionate supporters of Jupiter from the very beginning (certified Jupiter OGs).
As many of you will agree, the Jupiter team has brought a lot of joy to our lives these past few years. I was fortunate enough to meet with the Jupiter team at Breakpoint Singapore in September and expressed my gratitude for the positive impact the team has had on the entire Jupiter community:
The Jupuary airdrop was a lifeline for us after the FTX collapse left us battered and bruised—a story we’re certain isn’t unique to us. It was a time when Solana users were seemingly being read their last rites. Yet here we are now, the most active DAO in the world, moisturised and thriving thanks to Jupiter’s unwavering commitment to its early users and the Solana ecosystem.
Now that Jupiter has gifted us this opportunity to leverage their talents and reputation in order to bring our individual ideas to life, we are committed to doing our best to ensure the DAO continues to set the gold standard for decentralised protocol governance.
We know things are still very early, but we’re a little less early than we were at the start of 2024 thanks to the CWG and the first working groups whose every trial has been by fire. Now that we are looking to follow in their footsteps, we appreciate it even more just what they’ve achieved in such a relatively short period of time.
As the UX Working Group, our mission is to enhance the overall JUPDAO member experience by improving functionality, usability and efficiency wherever possible. We’ll create spaces for all of us to meet, interact and learn from each other, as well as spaces where working groups can align and share advice and best practices.
We hope that by creating the best possible experience for members, we’ll increase participation, word-of-mouth referrals and the overall impact of JUPDAO.
Finally, we’d like to invite you to share this message within the J.U.P. community and to please join us in reshaping what it means to be part of the best DAO in the world.
These are the foundational values of the UXWG.

About the UXWG
The UX Working Group (UXWG - @jup_uxwg) is a newly-formed working group dedicated to enhancing the user experience for all DAO members.
At time of writing, we are self-funded while we seek the support of the DAO and the broader J.U.P. community. Please note: we are not an officially endorsed (DAO-elected) trial working group as yet — but we hope to be someday should the Jupiter community find value in our mission.
Who We Are
Matt - UXWG Co-lead & UX Analyst - @matto_sol
The UXWG is co-led by Matt, a crypto consultant specialising in onboarding new investors to Solana since September 2021. He’s passionate about leveraging web3 opportunities in order to transform the lives of ordinary people. As a UX analyst, Matt has received bug bounties from Solana protocols such as Jet Protocol as a result of his platform feedback. He is also responsible for getting “JUP DAO” added to the Phantom wallet dApp directory and JupSOL added as a collateral option on the Jupiter Perps platform. Matt has worked across a range of industries such as live music, financial planning and media advertising. He is also a music producer.
Maneek - UXWG Co-lead & Community Host - @_maneek_
Joining Matt is Maneek: the UXWG’s Co-lead and Community Host. She recently became a Catdet courtesy of Wake from the Jup&Juice Working Group and brings a unique set of skills as a former young actress in live stage productions while also being a digital artist and Solana project analyst. Maneek will be your friendly point-of-contact in the UXWG’s upcoming community platform and is looking forward to welcoming new members into the JUPDAO.
Our Mission & Key Responsibilities
Our mission is to enhance the overall JUPDAO member experience by improving functionality, usability and efficiency wherever possible.
We will do this by addressing the following key areas and responsibilities:
- onboarding process: optimising the onboarding process for new DAO members
- information architecture: organising and structuring information within the DAO
- user research: uncovering the needs of DAO members through user research
- workflow optimisation: analysing and streamlining DAO processes to enhance efficiency and reduce friction in decision-making and task execution within working groups
- accessibility: ensuring that DAO resources are accessible to all members, including non-English speaking members and those with special needs
- visual design: creating a cohesive visual language for the DAO’s digital presence, enhancing brand identity and user engagement
- feedback mechanisms: implementing systems for collecting and acting on user feedback to continuously improve the DAO experience
- cross-functional collaboration: working with other working groups to ensure UX principles are considered in all DAO initiatives
- education and training: providing resources and workshops to educate and train DAO members about all things Jupiter
Our Launch Initiatives
1. JUPDAO+
“Connecting the Jupiverse one Cat at a time!”
Project lead: Maneek, JUPDAO+ Community Host - @_maneek_
The Problem
How do new DAO members get up-to-speed with all things Jupiter, meet other community members, form and engage with working groups while sharing skills and knowledge in the simplest way possible?
Our Solution
The UXWG will create a community platform designed to enhance the DAO experience for existing members by: welcoming new members, connecting existing members, sharing working group updates and event details, providing notifications, and more.
We’ll also be enabling Jupiter-related educational content and the ability to track and reward learners with opportunities as a result of their participation.
A Few Notable Benefits
The JUPDAO+ community platform will support multiple languages.
It will enable push notifications as well as email notifications for time-sensitive updates.
JUPDAO+ will be exclusive to active JUPDAO members who are willing to engage in a more personable and professional way than what is currently expected elsewhere.
2. The WG Toolkit
Project lead: Matt, UX analyst - @matto_sol
The Problem
How do new working groups get up-and-running really fast from a project management perspective while maintaining alignment with the community’s overall goals and vision?
Our Solution
The UXWG will create a Notion-based project management system that will be templated for working groups which they can use to improve their workflows.
We will also provide training that will be exclusively available within JUPDAO+, allowing working group members to seek clarification on certain features and offer feedback and suggestions that will benefit all other working groups.
A Few Notable Benefits
The WG Toolkit will be an adaptable system that grows as the number of working groups grows.
JUPDAO can query entire working group systems enabling scalability while maintaining operational efficiency.
Notion supports multiple languages so our proposed organisation system should cater to non-English speaking users.
Funding
The UXWG is currently seeking funding to cover our operating expenses. We will reach out to the Core Working Group (CWG) for guidance in this regard.
Get Involved
We welcome all DAO members to engage with us via our socials and the soon to be launched JUPDAO+ platform. We hope that you are just as excited as we are to bring these projects to life.
These early initiatives are not something we cooked up overnight and we are confident that, if we gain the support and cooperation of the DAO, we can create something that improves the user experience for everyone in many real and tangible ways.
We thank you for your time and look forward to meeting you all.
