Jupiter debit card

introduce myself i am b4b4d0g_heulan from indonesia

the problem that occurs in my country is the regulation related to crypto tax which is very expensive, i hope that jupiter can make its own jupiter card to withdraw cash directly from jupiter without having to withdraw it through a national exchange. wouldn’t this be the only Dex that makes its own debit card?

maybe that’s all the proposal submission from me thank you🙏

jup is goat :goat:

These cards would require KYC so wouldnt change much.

Hey @DuarMMX

Have you heard about Sanctum’s Cloud Card? Jupiter is one of the partners behind this initiative alongside BasedApp. Please note that it’s still in development and you can join their waiting list.

Here’s a link to the X announcement: https://x.com/sanctumso/status/1837881314143621144

Hello! This is very interesting and challenging. I’m thinking how the process of payment will be in terms of Merchant <> Consume. It will involved a lot of partnership.

Btw, I have post this on both subreddit & x/twitter for more visibility. Appreciate you posting this.

I’d love to see this come to life! A Jupiter debit card could be a game-changer—offering easy access to cash when we need it, while positioning Jupiter as the ultimate hub for decentralization. It has the potential to streamline the on-ramp, exchange, and off-ramp process all in one, making it a go-to solution for users.

However, it will most likely require KYC, so I tax benefits. But all the other will be enough.

i support your idea, i really wanted to use JUP to pay and to receive JUP if i sell my handcrafts and other products… i support this because is the best way to invite your friends, family …customer’s etc.
I was thinking in a shop-store where i can use JUP in this economy. Hope to see any proposal and guidance, online classes to learn how to start e-commerce step by step… i would be grateful if this happens inside Jupiverse. Debit Cards, workshop …YouTube lives where we can receive trainings … I would pay for any of this classes … and hope to see good news.
Thanks, regards

Is there any other provider ( other than MasterCard, Visa ) that we can use if this is something we decide on doing ?

As much as i would love to spend my crypto using a debit card.
i would prefer the underlying task, not be taken on by Jupiter Exchange itself.
If you have been following all the JUP rally, planetary calls or the socials channels, there’s a TON of products out there with JUPnet being 1 of the most ambitious project out there.
I would hate to take attention or talents out from these few HUGE projects to create a card where …
Let’s be honest here.
Its not a NEW thing, there’s so many floating around.
If the country you are in, doesnt have many or any. It’s probably due to local government and their moneytary jurusification.
Whoever tries to launch the cards will face the same issues

It’s my hope that JUP creates products that solves issues that nobody else has been able to solve and create a niche market to earn revenue, pushing the whole jupiverse forward.

So it’s unfortunately a Nope for me

Unfortunately, there’s no legal way to bypass taxes using this type of product to my knowledge. For example, in France, the legislation is clear: converting crypto to fiat triggers a 30% flat tax. To use your JUP debit card, you’ll need to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) to declare your place of residence, and based on that, you’ll be subject to the relevant taxes.

i think there are some non KYC cards out there ( sol card) with insane fee tho and i’m not sure if it’s legal.

This would be nice if it happens

The problem with these cards is that not alot of payment providors accept these cards, some payment terminals need a card that had processed KYC

It is a good idea but considering Jupiter exchange is a DEX and not centralized exchange that does KYC,

it will be a bit difficult to issue cards without KYC.

I guess their no KYC might not be forever if they begin to get under regulators radar as they grow across multiple countries.

what i was able to find were two providers who might be able to solve this issue…
https://x.com/ThreeProtocol
https://x.com/coca_wallet
Regulation is gonna be a real pain, based on where the user is located.

If we are to solve this, and with JUPNet on the horizon. This could become the most used crypto card in the business as JUPNet is gonna agitate all the chains and then ppl will not have to think “Okay i need a card for this chain and that chain, all chains on one card”

Also if we are able to solve the issue of pain that this bank will not support it, that bank will not support it, ( where we can off ramp to any bank, anywhere world wide )
