I’m currently President of my University’s Blockchain Club. Over the past two years, i’ve gone to a handful of IRL Crypto events such as Consensus and NFT NYC 2023/2024 where I have met plenty of others who run similar groups at their respective Universities. I propose that we create an initiative to help teach newcomers at these clubs how to use Jupiter. Perhaps schedule video calls where a Jupiter Team Member could give a short talk to club members about the product and it’s potential applications? I’ve shared Jupiter with club members and we already use it as our primary DEX, but it would be awesome to receive an in depth tutorial for all of the other products Jupiter offers. Official Team Members could be the ones giving talks to clubs, or perhaps a new “Teacher” role in the Discord could be set up for those qualified to lead meetings? I would love to hear y’all’s feedback on this. The newcomers to my own club tend to show up with smaller amounts of initial capital. Showing them all the potential ways they can use their SOL within the JUP ecosystem would be awesome. Anyone else apart of a club that would also be interested in this? I would love to hear feedback. I also work with Solana University and feel they would be a great organization to collab with for this. I proposed a similar idea to Meteora!
This is a really cool idea, tagging @0xSoju & @meow so that they can see the enthusiasm of uni students wanting more exposure to the JUP ecosystem!
in general, a university outreach thing will be gretat
Not a bad idea!
My uni has a club I believe but I’m not exactly sure how active it is.
I think in general, referring friends , family or anyone in crypto to jup will be huge.
Imagine you welcome 2 new people to the ecosystem each?! Then they welcome 2 people as well creating a snowball effect.
Personally I got my eth friends onto jup (2 of them) , my boss, my brothers and now looking to expand to more! PPP
Glad to hear! Where do we go from here with this?
This is a good idea. If the JJWG proposal passes the vote, are there not ways we can link ideas like this to form part of their podcast episodes where a club like this can apply for a spot in the podcast and someone from the CWG for example joins in to give a talk about Jupiter etc to university audience etc….?
