In my simple brain … #3 is not in the running. #1 & #2 we know the Pro’s & Cons of these 2 scenario’s in simple Layman’s terms.
#1 ASR is the initial YES lets give us holders / voters more tokens as we are following the DAO rules, Stake, Claim & Vote & participate elsewhere in the system if you can. This vote for me is a current market thought process (Start of BULL) as we get more tokens now before price moons as we all hope it does.
#2 BURN is a future market though process positive action if we are willing to more patient, (End of Bull) We all know in this vote what a smaller supply of a token can mean for us in a pumped price market / successful DAO for holders.
My take away for this would have been a 50/50 of #1 & #2. Half of the Unclaimed / Non-distributed supply sent to ASR & half to burn so we get the best of both now. We get more of what we wouldnt have received & the supply burn mechanism gets a big kick start.
As this isnt an option I am swinging to ASR vote. I do get returning the excess 15m to the DAO for future funding as this continues the great work so far, but would have liked it to be burned tbh in-line with my words above.
Currently, the main utility of JUP is to participate in DAO and receive rewards in ASR. Since this is pretty much the only use, I would like to see the ASR extended. When the regulatory environment surrounding cryptocurrencies is in place and a part of sales are distributed as dividends from Jupiter in the future, I think it would be okay to stop the ASR. I think we should bid our time until then.
In the vote, the winning option (Fund ASR for 1 more year) received a clear majority with 69% of the votes. The second option (to burn) garnered significantly less support at 27%, while the remaining 5% (transfer to community sig) went to the third option. Thanks to all who voted. The results show a decisive preference for the winning choice, with the second and third options trailing far behind. We get a clear picture of what majority wanted.
One of the best perspectives is the daos always show sign of united during voting and decisions making. The best decisions always win with wide margin.
