Interesting plans @Ferdinandoff!

Since your contribution tackles the topic of leveraging social media (especially TikTok) and building a website, I think you might check out this post by @Noir.sol: Igniting Jupiter's Presence: Proposal for Explosive Growth

I feel like there’s a lot of common ground between your ideas and his/hers and maybe it makes sense to join forces.

I like this proposal and would love to participate in merch designs and X content creation.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate you pointing out the similarities between my proposal and the “Igniting Jupiter’s Presence” post by @Noir.sol

You’re right, there does seem to be a lot of common ground between the ideas. In addition to social media expansion, my proposal includes plans for two key websites - JupAcademy.com - an educational hub packed with videos, guides, and interactive content to empower crypto users of all levels and JupMerch.com - a vibrant community space for showcasing creativity, hosting exclusive events, and fostering strong connections among the Jupiter faithful.

I’ll be sure to review @Noir.sol’s proposal in more detail. Finding opportunities for synergy and collaboration within our community is always valuable, even if our individual approaches differ slightly.

I’m glad we were able to identify this potential connection. Please feel free to share any other thoughts you may have.

I think that’s a wise decision. You will attract an expanded demographic by incorporating Facebook to your social media toolbag. I’ll watch and support,

When it comes to merchandising, I have hands-on experience in product selection, promotions, and marketing, along with proficient data analysis skills. Now, I’m enthusiastic about connecting with experienced individuals to join forces in driving our community’s growth.

Appreciate the support! One of the most remarkable success stories in Facebook marketing is the journey of Chatri Sityodtong and One Championship. I recently watched an interview where he revealed how close he was to giving up before One Championship skyrocketed in popularity on Facebook. Fast forward to today, and the organization is valued at over a billion dollars.

Your designs show real innovation and are right up my alley. Before we dive in, I’d like to get the green light from the DAO. Once we have the go-ahead, we can really start cooking. We’ll need a solid team to bring this idea to life.

Thank you for the proposal Ferdinandoff. I think marketing our platform is important and you have some good ideas. The only that gives me pause, is that it’s only ideas at the moment. I think before the DAO can approve a proposal like this there should be a business plan. How many people will be needed? Will website development be outsourced? Will merchandise be produced as ordered, or will inventory of various shirt sizes be maintained? Will a printer require volume commitments for the merch in order to maintain inventory? Who will review and sign marketing contracts from Facebook, Google, etc? Who will develop & post content for the Academy? You mention you are assembling a team, but how will they be compensated? And what measurements will indicate the team has been successful and should continue, or if certain aspects of the plan should at some point be abandoned? Just lots of questions overall around the business plan. Not a bad idea, but I would like to see some more details.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback on my initial proposal. I appreciate you taking the time to provide these insightful comments - they will be invaluable as I refine and strengthen the plan.

You raise several excellent points that I will address in detail:

Business Plan Specifics:

You’re absolutely right that a comprehensive business plan is a crucial component that was missing from the initial proposal. Let me dive into those details:

Team Composition: After carefully assessing the scope of this initiative, I anticipate needing a core team of around 8-10 individuals with a mix of in-house talent and specialized freelancers/agencies. This will include:

  • 2-3 content creators (video, graphic design, copywriting)
  • 1-2 web developers for JupAcademy.com and JupMerch.com
  • 1 digital marketing strategist
  • 1 data analyst
  • 1 project manager
  • 1-2 community managers

Compensation Structure: To attract and retain top talent, we will offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • Attractive base salaries commensurate with experience
  • Equity incentives
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to key metrics

Website & Merchandise:

  • JupAcademy.com development will be handled by our in-house web team, prioritizing cost-effectiveness and relevant expertise.
  • For JupMerch.com, we will partner with print-on-demand services to ensure efficient inventory management and fulfillment, without the need for upfront volume commitments.

Marketing Contracts:

Our in-house legal counsel will meticulously review all marketing contracts with platforms like Facebook, Google, and TikTok to ensure favorable terms and protect the interests of the DAO.

Content Creation:

A dedicated content creation team will develop engaging educational content for JupAcademy.com, covering a wide range of topics and catering to users of all experience levels.

Key Performance Indicators:

To measure the success of this initiative, we will establish clear KPIs such as:

  • Engagement rates on social media platforms
  • Website traffic and conversion rates for JupAcademy.com and JupMerch.com
  • Revenue generated from merchandise sales and platform integrations

Regular data analysis will guide strategic adjustments and potential pivots, ensuring we remain agile and responsive to market dynamics and user feedback.

Transparency & Collaboration:

As you highlighted, open communication and collaboration are paramount. We will provide the DAO with regular progress reports, actively soliciting feedback to ensure the plan aligns with the community’s vision for Jupiter’s future.

I hope this additional level of detail helps address your concerns and provides a more comprehensive picture of the proposed Jupiter Social Expansion initiative. Please let me know if you have any other questions or feedback - I’m committed to working closely with the DAO to refine this plan and position Jupiter as the undisputed leader in the crypto industry.

Thank you for the reply and details Ferdinandoff! This is something I see value in and would vote for as long as compensation packages and bonus structures are reasonable. I assume bonus would probably be in JUP tokens.

I appreciate your interest in my proposal. However, please understand that it is still just an idea at this stage and will require extensive time and effort to fully develop. The details around compensation packages and bonus structures have not been finalized yet. Those elements will be discussed thoroughly with the DAO before the proposal is completed. Any bonuses will be performance-based and paid in JUP tokens, but the specifics have not been determined. I want to be clear that this proposal is still very much a work in progress. I look forward to collaborating with the DAO to ensure the compensation and bonus terms are reasonable and aligned with the project’s objectives. This is just the beginning of the process, and I appreciate your willingness to consider supporting the proposal as I continue refining it.

Sounds like fun stuff!

I’d suggest to cut the merch, focus on academy. expand to all the major sm, ask for the ad budget, be humble with spending, and then it makes perfect sense.

The idea(s) of this WG are very interesting indeed. However, it wouldn’t be possible to vote on a draft proposal without a financial structure set up around the 3 month trial period. There’s lots of great ideas in here, but I would say your (later) response to a similar position outlined of there being 8 to 10 core people involved, might be a bit chaotic with so much activity in such a short period of time? How about this (as just an example) based upon you 8-10 structure (although the full number comes longer term) e.g.

Core team of around 8-10 individuals mix of in-house talent and specialized freelancers/agencies. Nb: some of these initial members are only needed during the start-up (and early) phases with others coming on board after the wg sites have been established).

Start-up phase (3 month trial period)
2-3 content creators (video, graphic design, copywriting), 2 full time, 1 part-time @3.5k (full time) x 2, 1 half-time (copywriter) @3.5k (0.5 pro rata) = Total (over 3 month trial period) = 26.25k
1-2 web developers for JupAcademy.com and JupMerch.com (from Catdet talent pool or external consultancy, budget £10k over the 3 month period) - covers design setting up a Content Management System (CMS) so that the site(s) are easy to use by non-technical Catdets to initiate in-house updates. These sites must be owned by the DAO Jupiter community and able to be updated by the community after it has been developed.

1 digital marketing strategist (in-house Catdet and/or consultant), SEO optimisation, budget £3k

Additional Marketing, advertising and incidentals budget, e.g. equipment for printing, or orders to printing companies etc. £20k. Any unspent funds returned to the DAO at the end of the trial period. Full budgeting (with aim of a profitable end case of e.g. Jupiter merch report will be presented to the DAO at the end of the trial period).

Month 3
1 data analyst (once the above is up and running, reporting commences, budget, £5k, to provide updates on all 3 months (if data available) with analysis of areas needing improvement (if any), comprehensive report from seasoned professional with proven experience in this field

Post 3 month trial period:
1 project manager (budget to be determined via DAO vote)
1-2 community managers (budget to be determined via DAO vote) e.g. moderators etc

Initial total trial budget (up until month 3 trial): 59.25k

You might want to round this up to 60k, but it seems reasonable, or add on an additional 20k if you believe community managers need to come on board e.g. month 2 (earlier than example I gave), so around 80 or 85k budget seems reasonable and is in line with other proposals. Anyway, just threw this together as an example of costings. Whatever you decide, figures are necessary for a vote I would say. Good luck!

Targeting TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, users is a great objective. they are an untapped market. As you said, the echo chamber of twitter, and even reddit, discord, and telegram isn’t growing the pie. There are so many more active daily users on the other platforms than these. I think anyone can start on this right now, even without this proposal being passed. Maybe a proposal like this might not pass until we see results first. I think for a proposal like this, it would be better to have a lower salary to a larger amount of members. Maybe something like 500 a month for 20 members for example. Instead of how most WG proposals are right now which is like a few thousand a month for a few members.
