Hey mate whilst I understand your frustration I believe the 30 days could still be improved to maybe 60.

Iā€™m sorry about your loss, however it was communicated a lot all over twitter.

But yes I agree 30 days may have been a little short but it was reasonable given the amount of communication there was

Yeah 4m was left over, I think towards the last week there was only like 10k JUP being claimed a day. Someone posted the data in here

I think the current process if very reasonable. Unclaimed tokens could just be burned and move on.

I do think we should extend the claim period until the start of the next ASR claim period, so 3 months.

I too think 30 days was not long enuf, i missed out claim on a couple of my wallets as I was busy with doing in real life stuff. Sorry for your loss @Pandamunk

Hi all,

I think there are few people who had similar problems and were not able to claim. I voted every single proposal since beginning till June. Then I had to travel for 2 months without being able to use my pc with walletsā€¦and returned home now and missed that 30 days windowā€¦I trust in JUP, did not sell a single one, bought more, votedā€¦and I am out of rewards anyway

For the record: I highly vehemently disagree. It would be a disgraceful act of complete inconsideration.

Everyone has a right to their opinion. But just saying ā€œitā€™s reasonableā€ without actually providing a logical case or basis of this opinion is in fact not reasonable at all.

The question isā€¦ WHY do you think itā€™s ā€œreasonableā€ and furthermore WHY do you think itā€™s ā€œveryā€ reasonable?

Not trying to be rude. All I ask is to back up your assertions with your thesis if you are going to go against other fellow JUP family members to obtain their rightful claim.

Yea think if those stats are true, there are many cats still left behind.

Just some thoughts:

I donā€™t think claiming mechanics should be used as a tool to increase engagement (not sure if that was the idea). Creating a tight claim window just increases friction in the thing people care about. It should be super easy, convenient, and considerate of the user journey.

Also fyi in the future, Iā€™m willing to help build some tooling for notification if necessary to help mitigate this issue. (I do app dev)

I think the rules are clear that its called ACTIVE staking rewards, as active participation is required and i honestly support the notion that we should stand behind that determination. We are different than the rest of ā€œstakingā€ (which is passive with the ability to claim anytime without limits) so that difference as well makes us stand out from the rest. :crown:

Yes it is ā€œActive Staking Rewardā€
Which is obtained by actively staking and voting on proposal(s). People that got the ASR are also actively available for voting.
We may try to empathize and allow them to claim too.
Different people with the reason why they donā€™t claim , of cause we are different from others that the claiming window is open forever and can be claimed anytime.

But just as per last JUPUARY theme -ā€œNo cat will be left behindā€. I want it to be applicable to this round of ASR too.

The theme- No cat will be left behind will/may not be available for other JUPUARIES. So I will /may want it not to be available for Future ASR.

The team had already looked into this proposal and trying to bring something up regarding the claiming window and the unclaimed ASR.

people also forget the idea of ASR- Its the increase voting power rather than increase portfolio.

If you cant claim within 30 days are you truely concerned with you democratic voting power? or did you leave it as a ā€œset and forget investmentā€

Abstain, 30 days is sufficient

@Pandamunk come on space last townhall and re-download all what he typed here on space , Julian said they will revisit the timeframe for claiming of ASR.
Revisiting doesnā€™t mean that it will yield positive (users who donā€™t claim will allowed to claim) or negative(users who donā€™t claim the first ASR will not be allowed to) result
It is just to re-assess the process and set things right.
