More Specific Proposal Summaries

Hey everyone,

I wanted to bring up an important point about proposal summaries. In the last proposal, “Update Jupiter Logo,” the summary didn’t provide enough details, even though the full post contained all the necessary information.

The only thing about the logo update proposal in the summary was

“yes - update the logo”
“no - maintain the original logo”

A well-written summary helps ensure that even those who don’t read the full post understand the key points. It should answer:

What’s changing? (e.g., Updating the Jupiter logo to a new version)

Why does it matter? (e.g., Aligning with new branding, improving visibility)

Any important considerations? (e.g., Timeline, community feedback, or impact on integrations)

Additionally, if the proposal involves a visual update (like a logo change), it would be helpful to include a hint of the image—maybe a shadowed or blurred preview—so people get a quick idea without needing to open the full post. This small addition can make proposals more engaging and easier to follow.

Let’s make sure our summaries provide enough context for informed discussions!

What do you all think?

Excellent suggestions here @web3specs.

I too noticed that the copy on the voting page was very simplistic.

They usually do, but I guess this one wasn’t that deep lol.

Thanks! Yeah, I think improving the copy on the voting page would help a lot in making proposals clearer and more engaging. Even just a little more detail in the summaries can go a long way in keeping everyone informed without needing to dig into the full post.

I guess, but we should always be considering new users.

Users who are new or are on a business trip hut still want to be a part pf the process.
