We can all feel the excitement building for the upcoming JUPUARY airdrop, and it’s incredible to see such dedication from our community. But let’s remember that the Jupiter team has been working behind the scenes and listening closely to all feedback. They’ve got us covered!
So far, no official criteria or vote has been announced, but we’re expecting updates soon. Until then, let’s hold off on creating multiple posts with individual suggestions because nobody asked. When the time comes, everyone will have the opportunity to share their input but for now, creating dozens of new topics is not the way…
So, let’s keep the Research clean, stay patient, and trust that the team knows what they’re doing. JUPUARY news is coming, and it’ll be worth the wait. Let’s stay united and let the Jupiter team do their magic!
I’m feeling the vibes. Although quite much from the conversations recently here is noise, I’m confident that the team filters it out and hopefully get some ideas already for their first draft/proposal. I’m nervously waiting how the conversations become once the official proposal is out.
Appretiate the post & i agree the vibes are getting very pvp but i think open discussion is healthy and proposals are a good way for individuals to voice what they think should happen with the ‘community’ allocation which all of us here are! I am eagerly waiting some form of update from the team
I have rounded up my engagement in each of these multiple Jupuary proposals by suggesting exactly what you have mentioned here. Think after the multiple debates and proposals with the pros & cons & biases, it’s right to leave the team process all these infos and drop something they believe captures the vision they set out to achieve with this beautiful idea they started - Jupuary! I trust them to reach a balanced solution to this that will please majority in the Jup community and beyond.
Totally agree. There is nobody on this forum who doesn’t have a personal interest or potential gain from this, some more than others. We have to still be fair and inclusive and consider different users to benefit the entire Jupiverse.
I started my post with an extensive data analysis and based the proposal on that. Then made a ton of changed and additions based on community feedback.
A lot of community members have provided interesting data and arguments in the replies about other aspects like JUP staking and perpetual volume etc. This opened my eyes about including these more and amending the proposal.
There’s probably no need for a duplicate topic unless there’s any new data analysis or insight which is unique or too long for a regular reply in an existing topic.
FYI for anyone waiting to hear from @meow himself, he spoke in the last J.U.P. Really.
In the 27-minute section between 22:00 and minute 49:00 he made some really clear statements about the upcoming Jupuary and that there would be a lot of debate and ‘‘fight’’ about it in the community. He also shared a lot about our values as a community!
He said for example that we don’t wan’t ***holes in the community or a PVP mindset, and that we should do our best to keep a PPP focus. He called it the greatest DAO experiment ever.

yeah since it’s the time of jupuary… it’s obvious people are anticipating the jupuary and last year it was already announced… let’s wait for the team proposal… i am sure they will have the best proposal! till then we should only wait
Yes, the team has access to great deduplication and anti-Sybil tools with good blockchain data analysis. They can easily find (large) clusters or automated wallet and transaction behaviour.
Furthermore it helps a lot to apply minimum requirements. For example setting a minimum requirement of eg. 10 or 50 JUP staked for the allocation to DAO / JUP Stakers would filter out around ~ 300,000 wallets, many of which have just 0,1 JUP staked.
This is absolutely crazy the numbers of wallet with Low volume/JUP stacked… I didn’t expect so much! Anyone who believes in the Jupiter team should have way more than 50 JUP stacked and more volume than that, period.
