JUPuary House Working Group (Airdrop Incubator)

“I’ve had a good think and I’d like to share some considerations for your review:”

MET DAO x JUP DAO Collaboration – LP Army Bootcamp & JUPuary House Incubator

Overview

Building on the momentum established by Jupiter DAO (JUP DAO) and the LP Army within the Solana ecosystem, this proposal invites MET DAO to collaborate on a groundbreaking initiative: the LP Army Bootcamp & JUPuary House Incubator in Tulum this season.

This initiative combines the successful framework of JUPuary House, a residency program for Solana builders, with the LP Army Bootcamp, which empowers liquidity providers to scale and strengthen the ecosystem. Together, MET DAO and JUP DAO can create a synergistic event to accelerate adoption, foster innovation, and build regional working groups.

Why This Collaboration?

1. Leverage the Success of JUPuary House

  • Modeled after the Jupiter Airdrop, which supercharged Solana builders, JUPuary House provides a residency environment for founders to innovate, collaborate, and scale their projects.
  • By aligning with MET DAO, this initiative gains access to the LP Army community’s expertise and resources, creating a shared platform for growth.

2. Empower Regional Working Groups

  • The JUPuary House aims to establish regional working groups modeled after JUP DAO’s successful framework, ensuring sustained growth and collaboration.
  • MET DAO’s LP Army Bootcamp brings unique expertise in liquidity management, pairing perfectly with JUPuary’s focus on project incubation and ecosystem growth.

3. Maximize the Impact of MET DAO’s 10% Adoption Model

  • Integrating the LP Army Bootcamp into JUPuary House ensures hands-on mentorship and training for builders while reinforcing MET DAO’s adoption goals.
  • The combined approach strengthens both DAOs’ positions as leaders in Solana’s decentralized ecosystem.

Proposed Collaboration

LP Army Bootcamp

  • Objective: Train liquidity providers and developers on how to optimize their participation in Solana and MET DAO ecosystems.
  • Activities: Workshops, peer-to-peer mentorship, and live strategy sessions focusing on liquidity management and protocol adoption.

JUPuary House Incubator

  • Objective: Provide a co-living residency for Solana builders to develop new tools, grow their DAOs, and prepare for the next bull run.
  • Activities: Hack nights, fireside chats, and community events hosted in collaboration with JUP DAO and MET DAO.

Joint Events

  • LP Army Bootcamp participants will join JUPuary House residents for shared learning and networking opportunities.
  • Exclusive community showcases celebrating project milestones and contributions from both DAOs.

Support from JUP DAO Community

  • JUPuary House Residency: Modeled after incubators like Launch House, this program is designed to accelerate builders and projects on Solana.
  • Regional Real Estate Partners: Partnerships with Tulminati Real Estate, Abrigo Vacation Rentals, and others tackle real-world asset (RWA) challenges in LATAM, bridging Web3 and regional opportunities.
  • Community Network: Backed by Tulum Crypto Fest and Gitano Hotel Group, this collaboration offers access to Web3 pioneers, world-class venues, and a global network of innovators.

Who It’s For

  1. MET DAO LP Army Members looking to optimize liquidity management and expand their impact.
  2. JUP DAO Builders and Founders focused on scaling innovative projects on Solana.
  3. Creators, Developers, and DAO Members ready to collaborate and grow their ecosystems.

Proposed Impact

  1. Amplify Momentum: Align JUPuary House and LP Army Bootcamp to build on the success of Jupiter’s airdrop and MET DAO’s adoption initiatives.
  2. Grow the Ecosystem: Attract top-tier talent and new projects to both DAOs, enhancing their influence in the Solana ecosystem.
  3. Strengthen Collaboration: Establish a scalable model for future partnerships between JUP DAO and MET DAO, empowering innovation and liquidity growth.
  4. Regional Innovation: Position Tulum as a global hub for Web3 development, connecting LATAM’s potential with global markets.

Next Steps

We propose integrating MET DAO into the JUPuary House framework and co-hosting the LP Army Bootcamp & JUPuary House Incubator in Tulum this season. By combining resources and aligning goals, JUP DAO and MET DAO can create a transformative initiative that accelerates growth and adoption in the Solana ecosystem.

Let’s build the future together!

Hi, I’m Pavel, the DevRel Lead at ZKM. Matt (@purplesquirrel) helped our team during ETHDenver 2024 at the House of ZK. We organized the house to bring together interested developers and thought leaders in the ZK space. Matt was a great advocate, brought people together, and knew how to keep them around and engaged. He has proceeded to organize events targeting the crypto community in Tulum. I know that he will bring the same consistency and enthusiasm for events that he is taking initiative in.

Hey @pavel_sinel

Appreciate the shoutout! ETHDenver 2024 at the House of ZK was :fire:, and I’m already hyped for 2025. With today’s Jupiter Airdrop kicking off, JUP DAO + Jupiter are game-changers—founders now have the tools to supercharge their projects. Perfect timing to finally knock out that Solana → Métis Bridge. :rocket:

Thinking we run it back this year: ETHDenver, then straight into a hacker house/incubator at the Tulum Beach Club. Imagine building all week in Denver, then taking those ideas to the beach to refine + launch. :desert_island: Bonus: I want to set up pre-ETHDenver hacker houses to prototype so we’ve got some :fire: projects ready to showcase to the community.

Let’s make it happen! Tulum’s calling. :palm_tree:

This project looks super good, when they will give an answer.

Consider that February 7 is the apex of Solana and more people from Mexico can go

You are spot on with this. I’d say, let’s plan on going to APEX and doing a hacker house regardless of funding. Perhaps the FOMO from JUP DAO, we will have many more people join us.

This is a proposal presented to the DAO for comments, feedback & considerations. Not a vote.

To me I think it’s great, the only thing I have concerns about is if there is so much emphasis on work and not any activities to relax or decompress. Maybe a session on yoga and perhaps music making?

Welcome to the Jup forums @Bostonhardcore and @Apollo45

@Mbolorman in general, what is the process for forum proposals to be formalized enough to go to an onchain vote?

Can anyone make a given proposal go live onchain for JUP governance?

Or is there a centralized process from the team, or core JupDAO WG, to initiate a proposal to go live?

To date, the majority of proposals subjected to voting have originated from the Jupiter team and the Core Working Group (CWG). These proposals primarily address the DAO’s voting processes and procedures, the formation of working groups, initiatives like LFG, Jupuary, and other matters requiring community input. Beyond these, proposals are typically introduced within this forum, where they undergo community debate. The team closely monitors discussions to gauge the community’s interests. If your proposal gains momentum here or across other Jupiverse social platforms, it’s likely to attract the attention of the team or CWG. Subsequently, leadership may highlight it during events like the Jup Rally calls and try to address the issue and explain if they are looking at the issue proposed and possible solutions. Should the proposal warrant further consideration, it will likely be incorporated into rally call discussions. If a vote is deemed necessary, the team or CWG will decide how & when that gets facilitated after consulting the community further for final feedback. This is my current understanding of the procedure. To the best of my knowledge, there isn’t a formalized process in place. However, individuals such as @kemosabe, @Slorg, @Morten, and other members of the Jupiter team might provide more detailed insights.
