JupSync - DAO Knowledge, Simplified & Synced

JupSync - DAO Knowledge, Simplified & Synced

Problem

Jupiter DAO discussions are spread across lengthy Spaces recordings, causing three major issues:

  1. High Onboarding Friction – Newcomers wade through & struggle to extract relevant insights from hours of audio.
  2. Lost Opportunities – Proposals and ideas get buried in scattered conversations.
  3. Member Burnout – Busy contributors miss valuable discussions and updates.

Proposal

Jupiter DAO Spaces, brought to life – animated video recaps with full source attributions, threaded links to key X/YT videos, discussions, and Jup Research debates. All in one place.

Solution

Phase 1: (Manual)

  1. Short 1-1.5 min animated summaries – Highlighting key takeaways posted on X.
  2. Complete source attribution – Direct links to full recordings.
  3. Unified, searchable repository – Archiving all Jupiter DAO Spaces content on a dedicated X page.

Phase 2 & 3: (Mixed)

  1. Wiki Integration & Smart Repository
    • Auto-generated topic clusters
    • Speaker profile pages with contributions
    • Chronological timeline of DAO discussions
  2. Advanced Search System
    • Natural language queries (“Show me NFT discussions from March”)
    • Filter by topics, speakers, date ranges, and projects
  3. Decentralized Production
    • Bounties for contributors submitting timestamps & annotations
    • Moderation tools for quality control
  4. AI-Powered Features
    • “Ask Jupedia” chatbot for natural language search
    • Live Knowledge Graphs mapping discussion connections
  5. Institutional Memory Preservation
    • Auto-archiving all videos and transcripts
    • Tagging by topic, speaker, and project

Proof of Work

Skills & Experience

Video Production & Animation

  • Created and tested animated recaps (e.g., CAWG video)
  • Proficient in CapCut Pro, DaVinci Studio, Descript

Technical Execution

  • Building ‘Space Bite’ – a tool for downloading & analyzing Twitter Spaces with AI-generated key moments

Collaboration

  • Supported WG efforts by amplifying reach through promotional content.

Scaling

Phase 1

  1. Knowledge Democratization – 50+ videos transforming lengthy Spaces into 1-1.5 min summaries
  2. Boost Contributor Engagement – Direct call-to-action in each video
  3. Institutional Memory (Manual-archiving) – All recaps hosted on a dedicated JupSync X page

Phase 2

  1. Wiki Expansion – Scrollable timeline, speaker insights, proposal cross-links
  2. Crowdsourced Contributions – Community-submitted clips & annotations
  3. AI-Powered Search – Intelligent chatbot and discussion mapping
  4. DAO-Wide Adoption – Customization for each WG, token incentives for contributors

Final Thought

With everything happening in the Jupiverse and my observations from the ongoing workgroup votes, I’ve noticed that many people aren’t following workgroup progress before voting periods—or even broader DAO developments. Now, more than ever, it’s time to act.

I’ve been addressing this through my personal X page @blockballr and have also launched a dedicated X page @JupSync for this initiative. Last week, I applied for a DAO grant to support these efforts.

Regardless of the outcome, I’m posting this to kickstart a discussion, gather valuable community feedback, and document insights for reference.

I really like the idea. :+1:

I’m gonna look at all of your POWs tomorrow and edit this comment.

Edit: @blockballr Very well done. Easy to follow and cut to the informative part.
I like the one of Jup&Juice most, but the others got nice aesthetics too.

The Stash Academy recap is hard to read as iSAK points out too.

I like the length especially, this would catch / reach a lot of people imho.

I guess subtitles could be converted into different languages in corporation with the regional groups as well to achieve an even greater audience?

Cheers! :sailboat:

This is actually really helpful! As someone who sits painstakingly through these multiple hour long X sessions (just kidding), if I am to miss any of the sessions, I surely won’t be spending hours just to go through recordings where i’m not able to interact with the speakers. Having handpicked portions which actually serve value compared to the rest of the yap session makes much more sense. A bit of change in style for editing the captions, and these videos will be absolutely amazing!

information that splits)) I find your analysis of the problem of onboarding and institutional memory interesting. It seems to me a project with great potential to improve information management in DAOs. A possible future expansion could include AI tools to translate content into different languages, making the project accessible to a global community. Congratulations, you are good.

Glad you see the value! Noted on the captions too; tweaks coming soon. Appreciate the feedback!

Oh wow! Thanks for the feedback!

Just to clarify, the Jup & Juice one wasn’t from a Space; it had video, which made achieving ‘engagement’ status easier. But your feedback is still super valuable, and I’ll look for better ways to make the clips even more engaging.

I’m blown away by the idea of converting subtitles into different languages; that’s an epic suggestion! Not sure how I’ll pull it off in the short term (since I only speak English), but I’ll definitely give it a shot. Guess I’ll need to onboard a few volunteers for that.

Again, huge thanks! I really appreciate your input. :raising_hands:

Great perspective on the language front! Another comment suggested it too, and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to pull it off without people willing to contribute; but here you are with a perfect solution (AI).

Crazy how I didn’t think of that, considering I’m already building a tool that uses AI to handle the difficult part (trimming) of the editing, lol. I’ll start with the easier suggestions and gradually iterate to make this happen.

Appreciate the feedback; thanks a ton!

I like the ideas and plan laid out.
If we could add subtitles for other languages as someone mentioned, I think that would be a huge plus.

Absolutely agree. It’ll boost reach and inclusivity. Thanks for the feedback!

Im also working on something called jupsync haha! http://jupsync.link/ I’m curious how long does it usually take to create an animated video? What kind of watchtime do you typically see?

How big is your team? And do you have any engagement metrics on this style of video?

I get lost often this should help

  • On the animation front, I’m not too focused on how long it takes to create the animated video itself (video is actually the easiest part), and time depends on the editor’s experience. What really eats up time is sifting through hours of audio. That’s why I’m building SpaceBite; an AI-powered tool designed to help trim down editing time by identifying key moments automatically. There’s also a high chance it’ll be integrated into the wiki site later on, offering more interactivity as an AI-enhanced audio player.

  • Regarding metrics, I included them in the actual proposal I submitted to the DAO. I didn’t share them here because my main focus was to open up a discussion around the core ideas and gather feedback on whether this is something the community finds valuable. Metrics, in my view, are variable; they’ll shift depending on what’s added, improved, or phased out.

  • On your event database (calendar), I see what you’re working on, and I actually think it fits nicely within the wiki, either as a standalone or as a resource under broader topics. That’s already part of the roadmap. If that’s how you want to contribute, I’m open to it! I’ll be relying heavily on programming for this part, so if you’ve got the skills, you’re definitely welcome. While I’m using AI (and working with a friend to build task-specific AI agents), my own basic programming knowledge helps with debugging; but it definitely pays to have a core dev onboard

  • Lastly, I’m not sure how long you’ve been building the calendar, and I’d like to believe it started before the 1st of this month. That said, from what I saw, what you shared isn’t JupSync. Your comment would’ve landed the same way if you simply introduced the Notion calendar and opened up a convo around contributions or ideas or ask the questions you asked. It’s clear the domain was just registered via Namecheap and hosted right before your comment went live.

well, good luck with building the AI tools. lots of fun there, but would be very worthwhile

the calendar started 10 months ago, and then split off for jup only a few months ago. you can go back multiple weeks in the calendar.

jurek had reached out for feedback on the proposal, and in discord.
the domain was registered, but there was no prior knowledge that you were fond of the name.

the notion was always live, and the redirection was on the 4th of april, correct.

it’s a good name, and hence some demand haha.
the obvious reaosn why you like it is clear. calendars sync, you sync to stay up to date with events, so it’s clear here too.

you applied for a grant you said. how long to build what you want to build?

Took a day off to touch grass; hence the late reply.
Appreciate the clarification on the duration front. Building officially kicks off in Phase 2. If I’m able to hit the metrics set for Phase 1 and see a meaningful impact on the problem I’m aiming to solve, I’ll take that as a bullish signal to move forward. I’ve budgeted about 3 months for development (though it could take less).

That said… I can’t help but get ahead of myself.

I can’t wait this will be incredible for me to help keep focus.

Kinda sad I won’t be continuing with this proposal in its original form. A lot of what I envisioned in Phases 2 & 3 is now being actively worked on by the CWG or other catdets.

I realized my initial scope was way too broad; almost like I was trying to build a super app. So I’ve decided to narrow my focus and stick to what I enjoy most: creating quick, digestible recaps and threads around Jupiter and the Jupiverse, all from my personal X account.

I dropped a recap from last week’s Planetary call; go check it out!

Also, I gave up the name JupSync to help another project push forward and might roll with something else, we’ll see.

Many of the ideas I had for the wiki are now being tackled by other catdets or proposed workgroups. The goal still remains the same; keep everyone in the loop.

So if you want to stay updated, follow me @blockballr for the freshest recaps from the Jupiverse.

P.S. I may still update the original proposal later, but for now, we pivot

This is excellent. Could it be hosted within one of the already exsisting x accounts. Could it also be placed here as information and imbedded videos. Perhaps on Jup search main landing page as a separate topic. Hope I have understood your aims correctly.

I like your suggestion and I think it could work; but that’s ultimately up to the CWG or the DAO to decide. It could be hosted here or on the wiki platform CWG is currently building (formerly jup.eco.

It might also live under one of the existing X accounts. Of course, for any of those options to happen, impact will have to speak loud enough to warrant it.

That said, I’ve already created a dedicated account for this project: @jupcore. I’ll likely stick with the name regardless of where it’s hosted. The intention is simple: bring core Jupiverse information to the forefront—clean, digestible, and streamlined.

In the meantime, I’m running it through my personal account since it has X Premium, which helps with reach and visibility. Just trying to get the recaps in front of more eyes for now.
