Jupiter Governance Public Calendar

Hello folks!

JupiterDAO is experiencing multiple events across various platforms like X, Discord and Youtube. Currently, staying updated requires being active on Discord or manually adding each event through Jup Eco.

Jup Eco is doing a great job of highlighting DAO events. This initiative is for those who don’t have the time to add events manually or simply prefer to receive automatic notifications without any extra effort.

To simplify, you can sync the Jupiter Governance Calendar with your Google or Notion Calendar. This allows you to view all events and vote deadlines in one place.

If you’re a member of the DAO and want to add your event for more visibility, feel free to reach out via Discord or forum DMs, or simply comment on this post, and the event will be added

I hope this helps!

I do like the idea, but linking your personal identity to this google calendar is a privacy vulnerability. Be warned!

Would be nice to have something publicly viewable that is not in a gated community like Google.

It is a two sided thing, like I totally agree that Google alone has some privacy concerns for the broader public, and everyone with a decentralized safety mindset like you should be aware and cautious- on the other side some, and I am totally guilty here, rely on Google services as part of work- there is no real way around it in company culture especially when it is about comfort and convenience. G mail, meet, calendar, drive and maps go to smooth together. So for people like me, none other than G calendar would do the job of easy access-

I have not so much a concern here, as subscribing to a calendar is a one sided thing. Like Jupiter would set up a non person account just generally for the DAO with a fantasy username on back end, and users would not drop in and sync their calendars with it, just subscribe to that calendar being added, like a public regional holiday list. That would be already it.

Of course, for those who, and rightfully so, despise the big Skynet Ser… I mean Google Services there should be alternatives, be it Notion, Offscore or simply a public plain calendar.

Hey,
Thanks for the consideration! Using the link under ‘Public Calendar’ does not require you to be logged into a Google Account.

Hey Merlin :slightly_smiling_face:
I agree, it’s convenient, and you should never let your guard down.

I’ve added the ‘Public Calendar’ link, which is just a view.
In case you prefer, you can add it to your calendar by clicking the ‘+’ in the bottom right corner.

The calendar admin cannot see who is subscribed, and if privacy is a concern, users can simply use the view option or create a fantasy account and sync through here or Jup Eco.
Also, it’s important to note that attendance at events is not anonymous either. You still need a YT (Google) account if you want to participate, etc.
