Jupiter Airdrop Round 2 (2025): Analysis, Discussion & Proposal for Distribution

This is the most thorough and insightful analysis of Jupuary that I have encountered to date. It offers a deep exploration into the different aspects of the airdrop. Great Job is an understatement, this is art! I know the team will definitely see this.

Huge Shoutout to @JUPWhale for putting all efforts creating and analyzing the dashboard. here are the few changes i would like to add to the proposal.

  1. Since ASR is already dedicated to stakers/voters, its not productive to add another layer in jupuary (a portion of unclaimed JUP has extended the ASR + Only Whales will get majority of the portion whereas they already winning through ASR)
  2. The more complex criteria we make makes it gets more difficult like JLP/JUPsol holder for team to analyze through 15m wallets and yeah cutting off spam wallets with adding volume based makes it more convenient but still it makes it 3.9m wallets.
  3. imo swap is more diluted and team should focus on something that generates revenue like jup products which cost fees, after all genuine are the ones who makes contribution towards revenue, by this i dont mean ordinary swap shouldnt be included.
  4. including DCA/LO/VA/APE with another layer volume based and tier marks the contribution of high roof players who payed more fees.

amazing post it includes every corner of the ecosystem, but i think it makes no sense to include Stakers in jupuary since ASR rewards are dedicated to stakers itself (P.S imma a staker too/and its already diluted as meow mentioned in a post) aint already majority of the portion is funneling whale wallets? and talking about JLP holders, its too late to hold a snapshot topic, since after sharing opinions its easy queue.

ig every user who paid fees to use the jup product is part of the community plus it is what generates revenue, it would be great to take consistency into consideration, cuz its easy to make volume with a few swaps. im sure there were few users when DCA/LO was announced. and tier based makes it more interesting.

As I said in my comment tiered is best! Except staking where people paid for their allocation. Linear is the best approach here, we can vote if people disagree for staking, Iā€™m in favour of ASR getting 300mil of the 700mil linear

Lets vote on whether stakers get an allocation and see what the people invested in JUP decide :+1:

since volume could be easily created i think the best thing to dois reward loyalty and jupiter constant engagement + staking

That will end up in a conflict of interest that was already mentioned in another topic. Of course stakers will vote in favour because they are the ones voting for themselves with financial gain

There is a conflict with my bag being diluted by 50%

@BTC what is your name on Discord? Iā€™m there with this same name.

such a dismissive approach, so you mean specifically that products jup provide is not worth utilizing or rewarding.

how tf you got to that conclusion?

Jupiter products are great and people use them because they are efficient. Thereā€™s no point to reward people for using good products

As simple as that.

Good.

They paid for their JUP, risked downside, believed in JUP while others instantly dumped their airdrops last January. Why not buy $1mil JUP to join the 37 people, that way you can vote in favour of your opinion?

1m wallet is already funneling ASR rewards, a great point to conclude if i ever had 1m i wouldā€™nt be here talking to you.

when did crypto wasnā€™t a game of risk. never ever heard someone saying its volatile?

Youā€™re basically asking for a stake ponzi that disregards users and rewards people sitting on tokens. The tokens donā€™t generate product revenue, users do. Thatā€™s reality.

You want a second ASR system with a different name. The problem is USERS, the ones who justify the value of the token getting shafted is bad for the long term prospects of the protocol.

The fact that you suggest that if you donā€™t get your way youā€™ll sell and leave basically tells me that your main goal is to milk value for the project and leave if you donā€™t get to do so. Its a short term mentality that should be ignored.

Look at Scroll, similar FDV and the last project to reward entirely linearly and focus on whales at the expense of 99.9% of users. Completely murdered the community, the value halved in a few weeks and most users will simply use other products. The purpose of Jupuary is community building, linearly sending hundreds of millions to the top hundred stakers does absolutely nothing in that regard.

This is by far one of the best researched posts on the jupresearch forum, I commend your efforts good ser and completely agree with the proposal.
If the team would use additional brain power to further filter out farmers and bots we could be in for a very powerful jupuary, which has the potential to further push the jup ethos.

So you are rewarding who? People who voted when JUP on Round1 was fully rewarding people who actually used the DEX (the product that JUP has).
You are saying that even though the volume increased 18x since last Jupuary, we should just disregard 100% the people that used the product?
Remember, that without the product and people using it, there would be no value behind $JUPā€¦ because there would be no product, no team, nothing

Just curious, not sure what deduplication is but was there any filter you did/or can even make about bots for this stats (sybil, etc.)? I really believe that a lot of users that have 10M+ volume are bots so I was just wondering
